The Bridge Company
Your beloved landlord
This small shop and the tenements above it is owned by a human wizard in his forties who calls himself Calico. In addition to serving as a scribe, he also buys and sells books. The building itself is brownstone and bears little of Sigil’s characteristic adornments; the shop is only labeled as “BOOKS BUY SELL” and a picture of a pen and ink.
Calico himself is a soft-spoken man with close-cropped, cowlicked mouse-brown hair and a weak chin. He’s clearly a wizard (his shop does sell spells) and a well-lanned one, at that
- but he is uninclined to share much of his knowlege unless his favorite subject - fiction - is mentioned. Calico has a great passion for works of prose fiction and will discuss books at length with anyone who cares to listen - though he his appreciation appears to be largely for the technical aspects of creative writing.
Calico also owns the building that you operate out of. He’s a permissive (if occasionally neglectful) landlord, though he doesn’t seem to mind late rent payments and occasionally forgets to collect payments.
